I've been tagged!

My sister Diane tagged me so I thought I would give it I try. I have never done a tag before, but I love to read other peoples. I don't like all tags, but this one was cool! It tells you things about your friends that might never come up. Anyway, it's fun!! I am suppose to write down 10 interesting things about myself. I am not good at coming up with ideas, memories, etc out of the blue so I turned to Jess for this. Here is what he had to say....

1- I cross my legs when I sneeze. (So I don't wet myself!) :0)

2- I pronounce my I's with E's. (example- Melk, pellow) I'm pretty sure most of my brothers and sisters do this one!

3- I CAN'T miss out on anything!! I will stay up 'til all hours and wake up early if I need to. (Most of my brothers and sisters do this too. I'm really not that interesting in MY family!) :0) We went camping once and my brother Jason and I stayed up around the fire when everyone else was in bed just talking 'til atleast 3am. Neither one of us wanted to miss out.

4- I had a black tooth when I was little. I've been told my cousin dropped me as a baby. LUCKILY, it fell out!

5- I am TERR-I-FIED to pray in public!!! I will speak or sing, but praying FREAKS me out!!

6- I LOVE me some drugs! I'm not too fond of pain, so if there is a drug, I will take it! I think this worries my mom and my husband, but honestly, I can't become addicted because then they won't work when I need them.

7- I have dropped my cell phone in the toilet MORE than once! How, you ask?? I will put it in my back pocket and then when I go to pull my pants up, out it goes. I know, NICE visual! Don't worry though, I don't use them after that! :0)

8- I scare EXTREMELY easy! People don't even TRY to scare me, but that does NOT matter. Here's the thing, I SCREAM when I am scared. Doesn't matter where I am, if I get caught by surprise, out comes a loud scream! Jess cracks up everytime.

9- I say the word S**T when I don't mean to. It just comes out before I know what I am doing. I hit my head, out it comes. I drop something, out it comes. I slam on the breaks, out it comes. The worst was when we took our primary class to the park and I dropped a soda. YES, out it came! And of course, the bishop's son was in our class. How do you cover that up??

10- I love, love, love to dress up!! I loved it when I was younger and I love it as an adult! Problem is, you can't just do it anytime you want as an adult and get away with it. I know, I am a NERD!! Atleast, that is what Jess tells me.

This is a random time some friends and I dressed up in highschool. We went to the store and all over the place. Again, I know, I am a NERD! SO fun though!! Can you guess which one I am??

As an adult I have to find a REASON to dress up. This one is with my Bunco group. They weren't very happy when I told them they were going to have to dress up for the Halloween one. I don't know if they will let me host October again. :0)

I even convinced Jess to dress up with me this year. I'm pretty sure it was because there was a mask invovled. This was at our Trunk-or-Treat.

OKAY, so I tag EVERYONE that leaves me a comment! BUT, keep in mind that if you don't leave me a comment, you will hurt my feelings. :0( I know, I'm laying on the guilt!!

Back To Reality!

Before I post I just wanted to thank everyone for the comments they left on Mason's birthday post. He LOVED them!! Any and all attention is excepted by Mason!

Well, Jess and I are pretty lucky people! We were able to spend a week in Maui with just my parents. A friend of mine was telling me how lucky I was before I left and my response was, "I know! I get an entire week with just my parents!" To some of you that might seem like a silly response when you are considering going to Hawaii, but if you know anything about my family, it does NOT happen often!! How does this happen you ask?? Well, my parents decided a while back to rotate through kids when they take their vacations. Needless to say, the week was AWESOME!!

During the week we went snorkeling several times, went on a helicopter ride, toured the shops and coast, played glow in the dark miniature golf, built a sand castle (our first), went parasailing, watched movies, read, ate way too much red meat, and CAKED on plenty of sunblock! Ironically we both still received sun burns!

We are SO grateful to my parents for making this possible for us!! They were great company and very laid back to be around! It was a TRUE relaxing vacation! AND, of course, Jess' older sister Necia! She drove up from Moab, Utah and stayed with our kiddos from the 19th to the 26th. I know, AMAZING, right!? We did not worry once about them. I've not found anyone that spoils them more than their Aunt Necia. They had a vacation of their own with her!

Okay, so now that my blog is updated, I need to check in on everyone else. I am way out of the loop now!!

Happy Birthday Mason!!

I wanted to pay a little tribute to my birthday boy, Mason!

Mason will be turning 7 tomorrow and I can't even believe it. Every year I find myself saying, "I can't believe I have a kid. I can't believe I have a two year old. I can't believe I have a five year old. I can't believe I have a seven year old!!" I imagine this will go on for the rest of his life. :0) Poor kid!

Mason is such a sweetheart. He is that boy that every mother wants their daughter to marry. NO, I am not just saying that because he is mine. I say all the time that it is such a good thing that he is so big because he can't hurt a fly. He has the most tender heart and hates to see people suffer. He puts all his efforts into everything he tries and always has to be the BEST at everything. Hmm, that couldn't have come from either of his parents? YES, we are a competitive household! As frustrating as his questions can be, as they start the moment he wakes up and lasts until he falls asleep, the insight he has is AMAZING! I was truly blessed with this little boy and I love him so much!

WELCOME JESSI!!!

One of my VERY best friends came back to the blogging world yesterday and I wanted to give her a GREAT BIG WELCOME!! Jessi and I have known each other since the elementary days, but didn't become real close until we were married. Our husbands, Jess and Bobby, have been neighbors and best buds since they were 9! Jessi is one of the greatest people I know!! :0) I found my other half in her. I finally met someone that loves to EAT like me, ride four-wheelers with me, play soccer with me, gain weight and then take it right back off with me, and doesn't find me just completely annoying because I am so high strung! We both LOVE LOVE LOVE being active so it makes for a GREAT friendship. She even managed to get me into snowboarding this last year! PLUS it is a major bonus that our husbands get along so well! Bobby is as laid back as Jess and Jess never laughs as much as when Bobby is around. Also, Bobby is an AMAZING musician so he has totally helped me where it is needed!! About a year and a half ago they had their first baby girl named Phoenix. She was born three weeks before my Claire Bear so we have already deemed them best friends. (They don't really have a choice in the matter!)
Anyway, I thought I would just introduce them right now since you will be hearing a lot more about them. They are our travel buddies, date buddies, and sports buddies! So check them out here and say HELLO!!!

Okay Jessi, so don't kill me for posting this picture, but I LOVE it! She was playing with my son Mason and he took it. It totally shows her personality!

She stuck with me on the four-wheeling training and is a PRO now!! Again, sorry for the picture, but you do look HOT even after a dirty ride!

She was a trooper with her first baby, we were SO proud!

This is at Brianhead on our girls trip. That would be my HOT friend Mitra with us!

And of course, we can't forget Phoenix and Claire!! The little trouble makers!

Ahh, the plunge!

Having been the son of a woman who only drove a mini-van, Jess vowed NEVER to own one. If you were ever the teenage child of a parent that drove a mini-van, then I am sure you know his pain. For 8 years now I have been working on him, silently letting him know that it would one day be inevitable. Obviously, it is the only thing that can be done. We can not get a car as we have three children already and that would NOT allow for anyone else. NO, I am not pregnant nor do I plan to be anytime soon! And, with gas the way it is, yada yada yada. You know the deal. SO, the plunge! We are now officially ADULTS! No, it was not becoming parents that turned us into adults, it was purchasing a MINI-VAN. I must say, and I know I have heard it for years now from all of you that have taken the plunge yourselves, that it is SOOO nice!! Hopefully my kids will not destroy it too quickly!

Jess, the great husband that he is, will even drive my little van. Of course, only if there are kids or a wife inside.

Happy 4th of July!

Okay, I would love to leave a great post about my wonderful 4th of July, but I am sick and can't think straight. Anyway, here is a video. We spent the weekend with my little sister Diane in Cedar City and did all the fun activities a small town provides. ENJOY!!

Little Swimmers

Okay, so I totally caved on the no pool thing! My kids are fanatics about swimming but I am terrified of the whole drowning thing. As any parent would be. But this heat SUCKS! And I have found that it is working as a great bribe. Though it is only day two, so we will have to see how it goes.

Anyway, we stopped at Kmart on our way home from the gym yesterday to buy just one of those TINY little pools so they could keep cool. Well, $50 later we ended up with this little bit BIGGER pool with a filter. Can we just say $50 well spent!?! So the kids and I attempted to set it up and actually did it ourselves. We were outside from 11:30 am yesterday until 6:30 pm. It took about 4 hours to fill 'cause our hose had low pressure, but they loved it anyway! It was so nice just to leave the house a mess and enjoy my kids, which is not something I do a lot.
